I Am a NOMAD / The Spaces Between

“When was the last time you felt at home? Where is that...WHAT is that? HOME.

I was born a star shaped peg, there is no space for me in a land filled with squares and circles so I’m constantly adrift. Moving from place to place. I mostly travel in empty spaces, those spaces between here and there. My anxiety of crowds is kept company by my fear of open expanses which makes going anywhere stressful. The irony of that is I don’t really know HOW to be stressed, so I resort to just watching. There’s a strange calm that comes with watching hysteria unfold around you. Gives me some semblance of control, knowing I am able to assess the chaos before taking my first steps. I find it odd more people aren’t aware of the “BEWARE OPEN MINEFIELD” sign, you know? That being said I guess it’s hard for people to take note, given the potential for you to blow at any moment. For the most part it’s the story we are being sold so I’m not really one to judge. With everyone climbing over each other to reach the peak, you would do well to see the pathway for all the bodies. As for me I AM A NOMAD, my journey takes me past the precipice and over the horizon. What the mountain is to many is another milestone to others, and watching the sun emerge is a view that rivals any summit if you ask me. It’s all about perspective. After all the descent is just as steep and treacherous as the climb.

I AM OF THE MINDSET THAT I WOULD RATHER TAKE THE TIME TO FIND SOLID GROUND ON WHICH TO BUILD MY CASTLE THAT STANDS TALL FOR GENERATIONS, THAN TO PROCLAIM I ONCE PEERED DOWN INTO THE VALLEY FROM THE PEAK”

If your goal is progress, you must improve upon what already exists and more importantly identify what currently works;

I am not plagued with the malady of an appetite for widespread social approval that permeates this contemporary period of moral superiority
